“Still Listening” – un hommage à Pauline Oliveros
Novarumori is a chamber music ensemble founded in 2012 that specializes in ambient and post-minimalist music. Led by guest director, composer and trumpeter Amy Horvey, the ensemble includes Lori Freedman on clarinet, Jennifer Thissen on viola, Émilie Girard-Charest on cello, Felix Del Tredici on trombone, Marianne Trudel on accordion, Isaiah Ceccarelli on percussion, Daniel Añez on piano and Andrea Young on voice and electronics. The ensemble will premiere many new scores composed as a tribute to the recently departed Pauline Oliveros. Among the scores composed for this project will be new works by Christian Wolff, Terry Riley, Miya Masaoka, Annea Lockwood, Ellen Fullman, Anne Bourne and Pamela Z. A unique and exceptional event for a giant of electronic and experimental music. Special guest performances by Christian Wolff, Ellen Fullman and others.
A pre-concert talk with Amy Horvey will kick off the event at 8:10.
