“Overcoming Hard Times” at the C.A.R.E. Centre

@ The C.A.R.E. Centre

A co-presentation with Bradyworks

What a pleasure to share music in person! Musicians Louise Campbell and Amy Horvey presented their new co-creation at the C.A.R.E. Centre, a centre for adults with severe physical disabilities. This co-creation was inspired by client Giota’s song ‘Overcoming Hard Times’. In C.A.R.E.’s first live in-house concert of 2022, C.A.R.E. clients and caregivers responded to the work, describing the thoughts, emotions and images the work evoked for them. Feedback on the work included: “warm”, “lost”, “like in a war” and “transitions in life”. Clients suggested titles for the work, including “Sub-transformational bird train”. This music is dedicated to Giota.
