Le Projet Retailles / Leftovers Project

The Leftovers Project

Innovations en concert: Leftovers Project (Gaudeamus-Montréal 2014).

The Leftovers Project is a creative collaboration pairing 7090 with three composers from Canada and four from the Netherlands in an innovative fashion. The seven participating composers have been invited to share their “leftovers” – composition scraps that have been discarded or unused over the years – with the performers, who will then work creatively to create a concert this Thursday April 10 out of these various fragments. The composers are working together with 7090 under the mentorship of Christopher Butterfield this week in preparation for this eccentric concert.

Featuring the leftovers of:

Adam Basanta (Montreal)

Noriko Koide (Japan-Netherlands)

Thanasis Deligiannis (Greece-Netherlands)

Gabriel Dharmoo (Montreal)

Grzegorz Marciniak (Poland-Netherlands)

Christopher Reiche (Victoria, BC)

Bart de Vrees (Netherlands)
