Andrea Young et l’ensemble Phth
Adventurous Montreal-based vocal collective Phth packs a mind-bending fusion of improvisation, co-composition and new music interpretation. The ensemble features vocalists with practices spanning from extended voice to noise, early music, experimental theatre and contemporary dance.
Phth will be premiering a new work by Sarah Albu alongside Audible Ecosystemics No.3a by Italian composer Agostino di Scipio and the premiere of L’Archipel nocturne – a new work for voice ensemble and live-electronics composed by Concordia Artist-In-Residence Andrea Young.
This concert was realized with the generous support of the SOCAN Foundation.
We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, which last year invested $153 million to bring the arts to Canadians throughout the country.
Special thanks to Concordia University.
