Novarumori :: Résonance croisée

Concert available for viewing here

In the framework of a collaborative creation residency in Quebec and Europe, Novarumori – under the direction of Isak Goldschneider – performs works full of imagination and originality by two of Quebec’s most innovative emerging composers.

Émilie Girard-Charest’s Intimités expands the ensemble’s sonic landscape through imaginative use of extended techniques and microtonality. James O’Callaghan, acclaimed for his “great mastery of materials and musical form” (Electromania, Radio France) presents a new work that showcases his talent through orchestral color and texture. Works for solo cello by French composers Mark Andre and Jean-Luc Hervé, performed by Émilie Girard-Charest, will complete the program. A concert of contrasts, inventiveness and originality not to be missed!

Programme:

James O’Callaghan – New Work, Collapsing, New Work

Mark Andre – iv2

Jean-Luc Hervé – Amplitude
