The Canadian Bacon Quintet, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, was formed by flutist and artistic director Charmaine Bacon in 2016. Their mission: explore and share both standard repertoire and newly written music for woodwind quintet. Canadian Bacon has collaborated with guest pianists Michael Oike and Rachel Hinton, organist Michael Cutler, and the Hurrycane Quintet. The group has also performed in outreach programs for schools across Winnipeg and been asked to premiere repertoire by composers across Canada. The permanent members are flutist Charmaine Bacon, oboist Kim Pelletier, bassoonist Dr. Scott Miller, French hornist Callie Siverson, and clarinetist Colin Mehmel. Canadian Bacon is looking forward to visiting Montreal to share an all-Canadian program with Quebec audiences!

Innovations en concert would like to thank the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts de Montréal, and the SOCAN Foundation for their support.
