VOICES ON VOICES: A workshop/discussion on writing and arrangement with Merrill Garbus, renowned from her tUnE-yArDs project. Since being embedded in a thriving Montreal folk/fringe/jazz community that now sets their watches to her every move, Merrill has moved on to playing a significant international role as performer. She’ll speak with Drew Nelles of her recent forays into composition for vocal ensembles and will workshop one of her songs with a group of local vocalists who will also join her onstage at her Ukrainian Federation show later that night! An Innovations en Concert/Pop Montreal co-production.
